Walmart was on fire today—not literally, but they were packed with new merchandise including Universal Monsters, a new TMNT figure, Ben Cooper kids, and more in the latest Bloody Disgusting popup.

At first glance, the local Walmart didn't appear restocked, but a deeper look revealed treasures lurking on the lower shelves.

The first thing I spotted was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures Shredder figure from NECA. I love seeing Krang perched atop Shredder's body in this unique mashup straight from the '80s and '90s comic book.

Then, I discovered a new batch of Ben Cooper Monster Kids—the Glow in the Dark versions! Frankenstein's monster was front and center! They also had the Phantom and a girl vampire, but I showed restraint and just grabbed Frankenstein.

Next, I turned to find the nearly full Bloody Disgusting popup section, featuring the NECA Karloff Mummy as Ardath Bey. All three new Ben Cooper kids were there too. I considered Nosferatu but found Krampus more appealing. That pesky self-control kicked in again. Most items in the Bloody Disgusting set were modern licenses, so these classic monsters were the only ones that caught my eye.

In the media section, another Universal Monster is getting the steelbook Blu-ray with Alex Ross's black and white art.

And finally, a major score: the Universal Monsters Valentine's Day t-shirt featuring the Frankenstein Monster and his Bride. After several fruitless trips to Walmart, I'd given up hope of finding one, assuming they'd sold out. But there, hidden among the St. Patrick's Day shirts, were the classic monsters!

A great haul and a stacked collection at Walmart!
