When Dracula became a Transformer

This week I picked up a unique figure called Draculus, a collaborative effort the blends the Universal Monsters’ vampire with Hasbro’s Transformers. Just under 6”, this strange mash-up sees the transforming robot Draculus into a bat. I know nothing about Transformers (Draculus is something called a Decepticon--sorry), but the Dracula fan in me says this one is a hit. The box art makes it appear the figures is a collection of VHS tapes topping off an overall great packaging design. I found my figure during a Target toy hunt, and I believe this is a Target exclusive (though no indication on the packaging). Let’s hope this is only the first of the Transformer/Universal Monsters collaborations—imagine what a Frankenstein would look like!
